What it's about, to me, is courage and the willingness to expose one's truth.
Erik has had a blog for years now and is a pretty good role model for people like me who are too shy and easily embarrassed to do something like this without a lot of modeling by others.
Erik is also the President of our very large and prestigious local Java user's group http://javamug.org and founder/leader of another dynamic user's group that keeps up with Spring Framework http://www.springdallasug.org/ . A man to be followed, and in many ways.
It's also pretty nice for me to have a role model who is barely over half my age :) Recommended.
